Kennedy commits to record breaking Sooner squad

Norman, OK — Kennedy Brooks rushed for 40 touchdowns his senior year at Mansfield and averaged 10 yards every time he touched the ball.  With numbers like that, he’s going to fit right in at Oklahoma who broke records earlier this season with their victory over Texas Tech.

In that game, there was literally almost 1 mile worth of offense between both teams and if Kennedy had already been playing for OU I think it’s safe to say the Sooners would have flew passed that milestone without even noticing.

Kennedy started the season off by scoring 5 touchdowns against a nationally ranked Cedar Hill team and then continued to run over and around his opponents in a way you very rarely see on a consistent of a basis.  Each and every week, Brooks brings the heat.

Kennedy wages war on all things Arlington

Arlington Martin vs Mansfield

324 yards rushing, 12 yards per carry, 4 touchdowns

Arlington Lamar vs Mansfield

299 yards rushing, 8 yards per carry and 3 touchdowns

Mansfield vs Arlington Sam Houston

306 yards rushing, 16 yards per carry, 3 touchdowns

Kennedy puts on a clinic in the playoffs

Brooks put on a clinic in his 2nd to last game by racking up 320 yards rushing and a whopping 7 touchdowns against a highly respected Amarilla Tascosa squad.  That’s basically half of a season’s worth of productivity in one playoff game!
