We2deep17: Tee Higgins interview

Clemson, SC — Dabo’s aptly named recruiting class WE2DEEP17 is looking like it has enough depth on both sides of the ball to possibly be just as good, if not better than the current team in couple short years.  These days in college football, the freshman playmaker is no longer a rarity, in fact, it’s becoming increasingly more common

Don’t be surprised if by this time next year Hunter Johnson and Tee Higgins are starting to out-perform juniors and seniors on a weekly basis.  After all, we’re in the post-Manziel era of college football where all bets are off when it comes to what we expect out of the freshman class.

Currently, Nick Saban’s Alabama team is being led by a freshman quarterback, Jalen Hurts who’s well on his way to winning a national championship with the Crimson Tide.  And if that were to occur, which certainly seems likely, Jalen will officially be ushering in the new era where freshman can and in some cases even be expected to do everything seniors do. In Manziel’s case, he won an individual award but if Hurts wins a national title.  These two achievements are setting precedent just in time for Clemson’s recruiting class of 2017 to take the country by storm and none of us should be surprised when they do exactly that.

Hunter to Higgins could be a deadly combination

Clemson fan’s were already excited about landing the #1 QB in the country, Hunter Johnson. But now it’s time to meet the latest major commitment –  wide receiver, Tee Higgins.

Higgins will undoubtedly become the main target for Johnson.  The two of them will be able to stretch the field in ways that will force safeties to focus more on preventing touchdowns rather than first downs and most defenses won’t be able to keep up.

Tee is the key to this offense because he’s a consistent deep threat and Hunter is the man that can deliver the ball with pinpoint accuracy, to virtually anywhere on the field.  Hunter to Higgins has a ring to it.  I can see Clemson fans already getting excited about this dynamic duo.
