Noles nab nation’s top Center, Verdis Brown

Tallahassee, FL – In the latest example of IMG Academy producing some of the best players in the country, the football factory churned out yet another prototypical O-lineman – and his name is Verdis Brown.  He’s big, athletic and committed to play at FSU next fall and considering the year Florida State is having – this is wonderful news for Noles Nation!

Although Florida State has a proven track record of both winning as well as catapulting their star players to the NFL, the Seminoles are currently struggling to become bowl eligible for the first time in 35 years.  With that in mind, winning the confidence of an IMG standout like Verdis could prove to be a uniquely valuable asset if he can persuade the next wave of IMG recruits to sign with the Seminoles.

The Chicago native seems to be a chip off the same block as his fellow teammates in this year’s Ascenders class of 2018.  And much like years, past IMG players are peppered all over everyone’s list of this year’s top recruits.  In fact, the Florida boarding school currently accounts for 11 of the top 250 players in the country according to this year’s Rivals.com Top 250.
